Caring for Your Bows

We know you love your bows and want them to last, so here are a few helpful tips to keep your bows looking their best!

  • Try to find a storage system that allows the bows to be hung or stored without smashing down the loops. I would definitely suggest not storing in a box for a long period of time. Storage ideas will be posted in a separate post.

  • If you store your bows in a box, do not stack them on top of each other in order to prevent smashing the loops and bending the tails. Instead, stand the bows up on their side.

  • Save a few boxes from your orders to store bows in for traveling. These boxes will protect your bows when you pack them in your suitcase.

  • If your bows ever do get smashed down, you can push on the outer part of the loop inward to help reshape them. If they need more reshaping, leave a packing peanut in the loop for a few days.

  • During hot summer months, make sure to not leave your bows in a hot car. The temperatures that a car in the sun can reach can affect the strength of the glue, and may cause certain glues used to melt.

  • Pool bows are water resistant, rather than waterproof. These bows can get fully wet and will not be damaged, but are not meant to be submerged in water for long periods of time. Before storing your pool bows, lay the bow flat to dry or dry off completely with a towel. DO NOT STORE BOWS WHILE THEY ARE WET!

  • If your nylon headband gets stretched out, put the nylon part only in water, making sure not to wet the bow. Squeeze out excess water and lay flat to dry. This will help the nylon go back down to original size.

  • Please spot clean items with a wet cloth only. Items are not to be put in a washing machine. These items are not waterproof and may be damaged if proper cleaning instructions are not followed.
